This tour is a shower climbing tour of the hot spring stream that flows through the headwaters of the Arao River (Eai River), known as Arayu. Arayu is one of Naruko's leading fumaroles and is designated as a Type 1 Special Area in Kurikoma Quasi-National Park. The stream is knee-deep and can be enjoyed by beginners.
Volcanic gases, including hydrogen sulphide, are gushing out around the area. Guides carry gas detectors.
Period: 11 May (Sat) to early November 2024

Suitable for: primary schools students and above
Primary schools students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Capacity: 5 people
Minimum 2 people (1 person can also be booked).
Wear
■ Wear clothes that can easily dry when wet
You will sweat when hiking. Wear quick-drying clothing made of synthetic fibres or wool is best, but not cotton. Cotton is not suitable, as it is hard to dry and cools the body.
■ Shoes that do not easily get wet or can get wet
Shoes that are resistant to getting wet/wet and easy to walk in, such as hiking boots or trail running shoes, are most suitable.

■ Rainwear
Not only for rainy weather preparation, but also for protection against wind and cold. A separate upper and lower layer is best.
